Pattern licensing

My repeat patterns come from the places I write about: Mughal florals, Talavera tiles, Mediterranean lemons, nazar charms. They’re available to license for textiles, packaging, stationery and home decor, and I can paint custom colourways to fit your range.

FAQ

Do you take illustration commissions?

Yes. I paint gouache illustrations for editorial spreads, packaging, menus, labels and textiles, and make short animated loops for social media. Tell me about your project in the form below.

What are your rates?

Every project is different, so I quote per project. Share your budget range and timeline in the enquiry form and I’ll come back with a proposal and a quote.

Do you license your patterns?

Yes. My repeat patterns are available to license for textiles, packaging, stationery and home decor, and I can create custom colourways. You can also buy some of my designs as fabric and wallpaper through Spoonflower and Raspberry Creek Fabrics, and find my work on Pattern Bank.

Can you write about Mexico City?

Yes. I live in Mexico City. I also write about the UAE, where I was born and raised, and the wider GCC, as well as India and the US, where I lived for years.

Do you write about health and science?

Yes. Alongside food, culture and travel, I write about health, wellness and science, from National Geographic’s look at how dancing can ease depression to research on aphantasia, life without a mind’s eye.

Do you write about yoga and breathwork?

Yes. I trained in Mysore and have been a 200-hour registered yoga teacher since 2017. I teach pranayama, having completed The Complete Principles of Pranayama with BNS Iyengar, and I’m Yahoo Health’s yoga expert.

Do you design websites?

Yes. I design, write and build websites for small businesses and creatives, especially in food, hospitality, travel and culture.

Can you fact-check or update guidebook content?

Yes. I’m a co-author of Lonely Planet guidebooks and regularly research, fact-check and update destination content for India, the GCC, Mexico and the US.

Where are you based, and do you work with clients abroad?

I’m based in Mexico City and work remotely with editors, brands and businesses around the world.
